Could i learn japanese/chinese/arabic on my own?
Hey guys. I have a brain that just works with languages. Dunno if you’d call it gifted or polyglot or quick learner or what. As of yet I only speak some european languages (latin, spanish, learning ancient greek). I’d like to learn a more foreign language like chinese or japanese or arabic, but i don’t have a lot of time/money for classes. Are there any good methods for teaching myself? thanks!
Hang around native Japanese speakers a lot. My stepmother is Japanese and with the right knowledge of vocabulary I don’t think it should be very hard to pick up (you can even look through some travel phrase books like D&K has). The grammar and syntax isn’t even the hardest part – but I’m sure you’ll have fun learning the characters!!!
